  • Q: Where should I go for my appointment?

RDN Lounge — 381 Atlantic Ave
    • Regular & Spa manicures and pedicures (wet)
    • Sugaring services

RDN Studio — 393 Atlantic Ave
    • Dry/Russian manicures and pedicures
    • Builder gel & extensions
    • Waxing
    • Massage

If you’re booked for services in both locations (for example, a pedicure and a dry manicure), the salons are just five doors apart, making it easy to move between them. If unsure — check which service you have scheduled first or simply text us to ask and we will get back to you.

  • Q: What’s the difference between a dry manicure and a regular manicure?
A: A dry manicure (also called a Russian manicure) is done without soaking your hands in water.
Instead, we use precise e-file techniques to gently clean the cuticle area and shape the nail.

    This technique allows for:
    • cleaner cuticles
    • longer-lasting polish
    • a flawless, detailed finish

It is especially popular when paired with builder gel.

Q: What are “Relax, Pamper, Indulge” manicures and pedicures?
A: These are our signature services done with regular polish for a classic, natural look.
You can always add on gel polish for a more durable finish.

  • Q: What is Builder Gel and why is it so popular?
A: Builder gel is a strengthening gel applied on your natural nails or used for extensions.
It creates a smooth, durable base that protects the nail while helping it grow longer and stronger.

Our ‘‘DARK’’ builder gels are TPO-free, making them a cleaner and safer option for sensitive clients.

Q: Why are there two prices for Gel Manicure ($70 vs $90)?
A: We offer two types of gel manicures depending on the technique used.

    • $70 Gel Manicure — classic gel manicure
    • $90 Gel Manicure — includes sculpting with rubber base for additional strength

Both services include detailed shaping, cuticle care, gel application, and finishing massage.

Q: Can I get a gel manicure if my nails are weak or damaged?
A: Yes. Many clients with weakened nails benefit from structured gel or builder gel, which adds strength while protecting the natural nail.

Our technicians can recommend the best option during your appointment.

Q: How often should I come for a builder gel refill?
A: We recommend every 3–4 weeks to maintain the structure, shape, and durability of the nails.

Q: What’s the difference between Gel X and Builder Gel extensions?
    A:
Gel X extensions use pre-shaped tips applied with gel — great for quick, uniform results. Lasting 3-4 weeks.
Builder Gel extensions are sculpted by hand for a fully customized shape and structure. Lasting 3-5 weeks, tend to be a bit more natural looking.

Q: Do you do acrylic nails?
A: We don’t offer acrylic or dip powder services.
However, we’re happy to remove acrylics safely and transition your nails to a healthier builder gel system.

  • Q: Should I book gel removal even if it’s from RDN and free?
A: Yes. Removal takes additional time, so it must be selected during booking to ensure enough time for your appointment.

Q: Is gel removal included with a manicure or pedicure?
A: Yes — if the gel was originally done at RDN and is followed by another service in the same category.

    For example:
RDN Gel removal + cut & shGpe
RDN Gel removal + Gel mani

Q: How much does gel removal cost?

    Regular Gel Removal
    • RDN gel removal with another service — Included
    • RDN gel removal only — $15
    • Outside gel removal — $15

    Hard / Builder Gel Removal

    Builder Gel Removal & Shape — $30

Q: What does a “removal only” service include?
    A: Removal only.
Shaping, cuticle care, and polish require an additional manicure service.

Q: Can I get gel removal and shaping without a full manicure?
A: Yes. You can book Cut & Shape + gel removal.

Q: What if my previous gel was done at another salon?
A: No problem — we can remove it safely.
Outside gel removal simply has a removal fee.

Q: What if I’m not sure what product is on my nails?
A: Let us know when booking or send us a photo so we can schedule enough time.

Q: Can I apply regular polish after builder gel removal?
A: For nail health, we usually recommend letting nails rest.
That’s why we offer Builder Gel Removal & Shape, which finishes with shaping and nourishing cuticle oil.

  • Q: How do you maintain hygiene and sterilization?
A: Cleanliness is our top priority.
We use individual sterile pouches for all metal tools, an autoclave for complete disinfection, and disposable files, buffers, and gloves for every client.

A: We accept Apply Pay, any cards, cash, Venmo and Zelle.

Payment method does NOT affect the price or tax.

Gratuity is mandatory and we recommend at least 15%, which can be put in the envelope if it’s cash or sent directly to your technician’s Venmo/Zelle provided at checkout.

  • Q: What’s the difference between waxing and sugaring?
A: Both remove hair from the root but use different techniques.

    • Waxing uses hard wax that grips even short hairs
    • Sugaring uses a natural paste made from sugar, lemon, and water

Sugaring is available at RDN Lounge, and waxing at RDN Studio.

    Q: Does waxing hurt?
A: When done properly, waxing is quick and comfortable.
Our wax specialist has over 8 years of experience and focuses on making the process as gentle as possible.

Q: Is waxing safe for kids or pregnant women?
A: Yes. We use gentle hard wax that’s safe for sensitive skin.

Q: How long do results last and how short can hair be?
A: Results typically last 3–4 weeks.
Wax removes hair as short as 1/4 inch (6 mm), while sugaring can sometimes remove even shorter hair.

Q: Which is better — waxing or sugaring?
A: It depends on personal preference.
Some clients love sugaring’s natural formula, while others prefer waxing for its speed and precision.
